Shades project, master bedroom interior render in lilac and blue

Shades

A full redesign of a traditional 3BHK home in Chennai. The antiques stayed, and the palette was rebuilt in blue.

Interior Design 3D Rendering & Visualization
Shades project, living room with blue sofas and yellow accent cushions

Shades turned a traditional 3BHK apartment in Chennai into a contemporary home without losing a single piece of its past. The family's antique furniture and original artwork stayed, while everything around them changed. We rebuilt the palette in blues, moving from powder through navy, the shades that give the project its name. Brass and warm wood tie the older pieces into the new scheme.

Every room was designed and approved on screen first. Each space, from the living area to the dance studio, was modelled as a photorealistic 3D render. The family walked through their future home on screen and fine-tuned each space to match their daily routine.

What was approved on screen is what was built.

“We had a lot of traditional furniture and artworks. The brief was to retain the traditional and antique elements and give the entire house a modern touch. They did such a beautiful job of understanding all the spaces of our home, aligning with our everyday lifestyle, and creating a new design style for our space. The 3D renders of every room helped us visualise and iterate better. We now have both a modern and a traditional look, and we just love the new palette. All our guests love our space too.”
